Joey Votto is stepping up to the plate to increase awareness and community support for those affected by posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The Joey Votto Foundation invests time, talent and resources into developing and executing programs that make an impact in the lives of individuals and families affected by stress-related disorders.
According to the National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), “PTSD is a mental health problem that can occur after someone goes through a traumatic event like war, assault, or disaster. Most people have some stress reactions after a trauma, but if the reactions don’t go away over time or disrupt your life, you may have PTSD.”
Programs and events supported by the Joey Votto Foundation are created and managed by the foundation. While we do not fund unsolicited grant proposals, we do partner with and support organizations in other ways.
While Joey could try to field this issue on his own, he knows greater things happen with teamwork. Thanks to our generous partners, together we can ensure veterans and military families have access to the resources and support they need to overcome the affects of PTSD.
